While in Weston I was surprised to discover that my prejudices about the town (based on brief bank holiday visits & the wild eyed ranting o those friends of mine who grew up there & 'escaped') were erroneous.
As well as the expected sunburned, overweight tourists; the neon attractions; the blaring of garish music along the seafront; & the forlorn dejection of the donkeys; Weston contains a haunting and faded grandeur, rugged cliffs, dramatic sea views, well planned cycle paths and some charming people.
As this town & it's library slowly seduced me I found myself pressed against windows, peering into mysterious gloom & trying to recreate for myself the glory of this town in its heyday, and to comprehend its current position. I have started to develop a collection of pictures called 'Weston Within Without' which has emerged from these considerations.
This set is very new & I haven't shared them before so please let me know what you think. You can comment bellow, send me a message through the contacts page or through facebook.
